SUMMARY:
This position provides practical experience to students interested in pursuing a degree in a field related to community development, including public administration, building, planning, and engineering. This person will spend time each week with various members of the Community Development and Engineering Departments, gaining exposure to a wide range of local government planning, building and engineering functions. The internship program can be scaled down to fit the time schedule of the student. The maximum length of time is 16 weeks per year during May - September.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Must be currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, an accredited college or university with a major in Urban Planning, Community Development, Public Administration, Geography, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Environmental Studies, Political Science, or a closely related field.
