We are seeking a Load Planner to join our team in Overland Park, Kansas . This role is responsible for executing day-to-day North American shipping operations, ensuring transportation capacity, optimizing carrier performance, and supporting exceptional customer service. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, including: Benefits starting Day 1 11 paid holidays + 1 floating holiday 2 weeks PTO 1 week sick time (subject to applicable state and local laws) 401(k) with company match Employee Education Reimbursement Program Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Bonus opportunities for eligible positions Key Responsibilities Coordinate day-to-day shipping operations across North America Procure transportation capacity and negotiate spot rates when needed Monitor and manage carrier performance, service levels, and key performance indicators Collaborate with customer service, planning, and plant teams to ensure timely order fulfillment Resolve shipping issues, delays, and capacity constraints proactively Analyze transportation performance and identify cost-saving opportunities Manage carrier relationships and conduct performance reviews Communicate shipment status and logistics updates to internal and external stakeholders Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize transportation operations Provide after-hours support as needed Required Qualifications 2+ years of logistics, transportation, customer service, or related experience Strong planning, organization, and multitasking abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree Experience in load planning across multiple facilities Experience with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle EnterpriseOne Prior experience with a motor carrier or transportation customer service role Physical Requirements This position is primarily office-based and requires the ability to perform standard computer and administrative functions.
