We work to improve the nation's transportation systems and help public agencies make more data-driven, transparent, and impactful decisions. Internship Overview SPP is seeking a Summer Analyst with a strong interest in transportation, infrastructure, and public sector problem solving. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals to influence how billions of dollars in transportation investments are planned and delivered. Responsibilities Perform research and analysis to guide performance management, asset management, agency innovation, and/or knowledge management efforts Develop quality communications materials, including research reports, best practice summaries, planning documents, client presentations, and/or data visualizations Synthesize complex information into clear insights, recommendations, and actionable strategies Support stakeholder engagement activities, such as surveys, interviews, and workshops Requirements Current enrollment in a master's program in a related field, such as transportation, urban planning, public policy, engineering, or business, or equivalent experience Exceptional undergraduate candidates with strong quantitative and analytical skills will also be considered Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word or like Google products Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly within the context of transportation-related projects and initiatives Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks Desired Skills & Experience Experience in transportation-related research or planning Experience in developing professional written and visual communications materials Ability to synthesize complex concepts or unrefined materials to develop connections, draw insights, and improve communication and understanding Knowledge of modern data visualization tools such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI Exposure to GIS, statistics, or programming (e.g., Python, R) is a plus Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus How to Apply Submit your resume to .
