Job Description

Be part of the team that helps guide how Branson grows and develops. From site plans to zoning reviews, your work will help shape the community for years to come. What You'll Do Review development applications , site plans, and permits to ensure compliance with planning and landscaping requirements. Conduct site visits and inspections to verify projects are progressing according to approved plans and regulations. Meet with applicants, property owners, and the public to answer questions and guide them through planning processes and requirements. Prepare staff reports , meeting packets, legal notices, and presentation materials for Planning & Zoning Commission, Board of Adjustment, and Board of Aldermen meetings. Support special projects, code updates, and planning initiatives through research, mapping, data collection, and technical documentation. What are the Minimum Qualifications? A High School diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED) equivalent. Graduation from an institution of higher learning that is regionally accredited through the U.S. Department of Education with a bachelor's degree in Community and Regional Planning, Architecture/Landscape, Urban Planning or closely related field. Five (5) years of experience in this area or related field may be substituted as determined by the Department Director. Experience in planning or urban design. Be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, and be able to pass a background check and drug screenings.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The starting hourly wage is $22.13 per hour and will increase to $23.02 per hour after 6 months of successful probation. Please click HERE for a complete list of compensation/benefits information.

WORK HOURS
Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
WORK LOCATION
City of Branson, Missouri; City Hall. This is an in-office position requiring work to be performed onsite.
