Job Description
Job Summary The Traffic Control Coordinator ensures the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians during construction or special events. Responsibilities include developing and implementing traffic control plans that comply with local regulations and safety standards. The coordinator collaborates with law enforcement, construction teams, and event organizers to reduce disruptions and enhance public safety. Monitoring traffic flow and adjusting control measures aim to reduce congestion and prevent accidents, maintaining order and safety in busy urban environments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive traffic control plans for construction sites and special events. Coordinate with local authorities, law enforcement, and construction teams to ensure compliance with traffic regulations. Monitor traffic flow and adjust control measures in real-time to minimize congestion and enhance safety. Conduct site assessments to identify potential traffic hazards and recommend appropriate solutions. Prepare reports and documentation related to traffic control measures and incidents. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong analytical skills to assess traffic patterns and identify potential issues. Effective communication skills for coordination with law enforcement and construction teams. Attention to detail to ensure compliance with safety standards when developing traffic control plans.
Preferred:
Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations to support informed decision-making. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Experience in traffic management or a related field. Certification in traffic control or traffic management.
