Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to): Preparing and implementing plans, such as the Active Transportation Plan, Coordinated Transit Plan, Long-Range Transportation Plan, Transportation Improvement Program, Unified Planning Work Program, and Public Participation Plan. Facilitating the regional Active Transportation Committee. Leading Complete Streets planning and policy activities. Serving as a liaison to transit operators and human service agencies. Analyzing transportation, demographic, economic, land use, and related data. Presenting to boards, committees, commissions, and at public meetings. Providing technical assistance and other support to local project sponsors. Preparing scopes of work for transportation studies and plans. Preparing progress reports for invoices and stakeholder communications.

Qualifications/skills:

Bachelor's degree in planning, Geography, Engineering, Transportation Studies, GIS, Environmental Studies, Public Administration, or a closely related field. At least four years of related job experience preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local transportation laws, funding sources, processes, policies, and regulations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is a must. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong problem-solving & critical thinking skills and attention to detail. Proficient in data collection, analysis, and research methods. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. AICP certification or PE license is desirable. ArcGIS familiarity is a plus. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
