Job Description

Right of Way Specialist#26-11229 Philadelphia, PA All On-site Job Description Job Description A Right-of-Way (ROW) Support Professional with 5-10 years of experience supports utility infrastructure projects in the energy, gas, and telecommunications sectors by securing and managing land rights required for construction and maintenance activities.
Core Responsibilities:
Right-of-Way Acquisition:
Research property ownership, negotiate with landowners, and secure easements and land rights in compliance with applicable regulations.
Permitting & Compliance:
Coordinate with regulatory agencies and environmental consultants to obtain required permits and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
Document Management:
Maintain and organize land agreements, permits, landowner communications, and related project documentation.
Stakeholder Liaison:
Serve as primary contact for landowners, agencies, and community stakeholders, addressing concerns and facilitating cooperation.
Project Coordination:
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and survey teams to support project schedules and execution.
Survey & Mapping Support:
Assist with land access coordination and identification of right-of-way boundaries and constraints.
Title Research:
Conduct title searches to verify ownership, easements, and encumbrances.
Legal Coordination:
Support drafting and review of easements, deeds, and land agreements in coordination with legal counsel.
Budget Tracking:
Assist in managing acquisition and permitting costs to align with project budgets.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in land management, real estate, environmental science, or equivalent experience 5-10 years of ROW, land acquisition, or utility infrastructure experience Strong understanding of land acquisition, permitting, and regulatory processes Experience with GIS and mapping/survey tools Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills Familiarity with real estate law, easements, and land use principles Strong organization, attention to detail, and project coordination skills
