We serve more than 670 students from Napa, Solano, and Sonoma Counties. Our 40-acre campus is home to a college preparatory curriculum, a competitive interscholastic athletic program, a highly regarded performing arts program, and an array of co-curricular opportunities. Position Summary The Learning Lab Instructor serves as an academic support specialist and student mentor who embodies Justin-Siena's Lasallian values while maximizing the holistic growth of all students. This position delivers planned curriculum focused on study skills, organization, and executive functioning through individualized and small-group interventions in the Learning Lab. The Coordinator provides structure, accountability, and active mentorship through frequent one-on-one check-ins, monitors student learning and achievement, and maintains an orderly, learning-conducive environment in the Gasser Center. Working collaboratively with administration, faculty, counselors, and families, the Coordinator supports students on academic contracts and in mandatory study hall, facilitates discussions between students and teachers while encouraging self-advocacy, and communicates regularly with stakeholders regarding student academic progress and concerns. The position requires the ability to respond to individual and group needs while fostering a supportive academic culture that empowers students to develop essential learning skills and confidence. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Models the school's ideals of inclusivity, social justice, intellectual pursuit, and loving community Is committed to maximizing the holistic growth of all students Create and deliver a planned curriculum that supports student learning through study skills, organization, and executive functioning during each class period Serves as an active and engaging mentor to all students in Learning Lab Facilitates academic progress and provides structure and accountability for all students in Learning Lab Maintains and supports an environment that is conducive to learning Collaborates effectively with administration, faculty, staff, students, and families Monitors student learning and achievement Ability to understand individual student and group needs to respond and orchestrate individual and group learning study sessions based on student needs Conduct frequent 1:1 student check-ins to ensure academic progress to support and facilitate learning in one on one and small group settings Under the advisement of the Assistant Principal and Principal, support students that are in mandatory study hall and/or are on academic contracts as needed Facilitate discussions between students and teachers based on student need while encouraging student self advocacy Communicate with other stakeholders regarding student academic successes and concerns, as appropriate Additional Duties Gathers the students at the beginning of Learning Lab for prayer, any announcements or directions, and attendance Circulates frequently throughout the learning environment to check how students are doing, to ensure they are on task, and to see if they need assistance Communicates responsively with teachers, counselors, advisors, and parents who have academic concerns about students; implements strategies to facilitate student academic improvement Administers and monitors make up tests to students in Learning Lab, per teachers' requests Effectively manages student behavior to support an environment for effective learning Performance will be measured b y Complete, thorough and successful completion of assigned tasks by deadlines established Classroom visits and formal observations by Assistant Principal and Principal Proactive and consistent communication to necessary parties including internal staff, parents, students, coaches, volunteers, and other constituencies' Ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines Ability to collaborate with a team and lead students Ability to embrace, support, and enhance the mission, goals, and values of Justin-Siena Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Demonstrated ability to assume responsibility without direct supervision, exercise initiative and judgment; to prioritize and organize workload to complete assignments in a timely manner, and to make decisions within the scope of assigned authority. Ability to handle deadlines and stressful situations in a calm, orderly and customer service oriented manner.

Compensation is commensurate with education and experience. The range of compensation will be between: $61,129 - $111,350 The selected candidate must pass a pre-employment background check.
