The Counselor addresses the academic, socio-emotional, and character development needs of all students through individual counseling, small group intervention, and classroom guidance lessons. View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications Equivalent to the completion of an earned Master of Arts or higher degree in school counseling, counseling psychology, guidance, or a closely related field from an accredited institution. Possession of a valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential authorizing service as a School Counselor (Required per California Education Code § 49600). Two (2) years of successful public elementary school counseling experience is preferred. •
