06/15/2026 Effective for the 2026-2027 school year, a vacancy for an Elementary School Guidance Counselor exists within the division of Student Services at the Chester County Intermediate Unit. This position will be part of the Non-Public School Services program at the CCIU. This position is located IU Countrywide Non-Public Schools. Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid PA Certification in Elementary School Counseling PK-12
- Masters in School Counseling required
- Minimum 5 years School Counselor experience required
- Experience and knowledge in public or non-public education preferred
- Current police, child abuse & FBI Fingerprint clearances required
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Counsel groups or individual students through the development of educational and career plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff and parents regarding meeting the developmental needs of students and seek community resources when necessary.
- Conduct counseling activities in the classroom in conjunction with administration and teachers.
- Participate in Instructional Support Team (IST).
- Respond to crisis situations when appropriate
