Job Description

Master's degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a vital part-time role supporting students and collaborating closely with school psychologists on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). This flexible contract opportunity offers a chance to make meaningful connections in an education-focused environment, working Monday through Thursday with a manageable 18-20 hour weekly commitment. Your work will focus on strengthening student support systems and directly impacting their growth and development. Both school counselors and social workers with the right background are encouraged to apply for this dynamic position.
Qualifications:
Active licensure or certification as a school counselor or social worker Experience working in schools or educational settings Strong background in student counseling, group facilitation, and behavioral interventions Previous involvement with IEP meetings and processes preferred Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Compassionate, student-centered approach to supporting diverse needs
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with school psychologists to support and implement IEP goals Provide counseling and social-emotional support to individual students and groups Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs Assist in case management, documenting progress and communicating with families and staff Advocate for students' mental health and well-being within the school setting Develop and facilitate skill-building activities and intervention strategies Foster a safe and inclusive environment that nurtures student success This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise and passion for working with youth, while enjoying a consistent Monday-Thursday schedule and the flexibility of a part-time, contract-based position.
