What You'll Do:
Counsel students to encourage and support student achievement. Counsel students regarding educational issues such as course and program selection, class scheduling, school adjustment, truancy, study habits, and college/career planning. Counsel individuals to help them understand and overcome personal, social, or behavioral problems affecting their educational or vocational situations. Create and update accurate and complete student records as required by law, district policies, and administrative regulations. Collaborate with parents or guardians, teachers, other counselors and support staff, and administrators to resolve students' behavioral, academic, and other problems. Provide crisis intervention to students. Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their student's progress and to determine their priorities for their children and their resource needs. Prepare students for post-secondary options. Observe and evaluate students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
What You'll Need:
Master's Degree in School Counseling One (1) or more years of related experience. Current Colorado Department of Education Special Service Provider License - School Counselor. Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education. Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us. Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.
