Job Description

Category Schools - Counselor Job Type Contract An exciting contract opportunity is available for a skilled school counselor to support middle school students for the 2026/2027 academic year. This position is based near Parker, CO and involves working with a diverse group of students to foster academic, social, and emotional growth in a middle school setting. You will be a key advocate for student well-being and achievement, collaborating with staff and families to create a supportive environment.
Qualifications:
Holds an active School Counseling License in Colorado Demonstrated experience as a school counselor, guidance counselor, or similar counseling role within a school environment Comfort working with middle school-aged children and understanding their developmental needs Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individual and group counseling sessions addressing academic, social, and emotional challenges Develop and implement preventative and intervention programs for students Consult regularly with teachers, parents, and administration to support student success and well-being Maintain thorough and confidential records in compliance with school policy and legal requirements Promote a positive school climate through effective communication and advocacy This is a full-time, contract position designed to make a difference for students during a critical stage of their development.
