Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting a high school student as a full-time 1:1 paraprofessional beginning August 2026 through June 2027. This role is an exceptional match for compassionate, patient professionals eager to make a positive impact in a school environment. Work closely with an engaging student who has high functioning autism, providing individualized academic assistance to foster growth and independence.
Key Qualifications:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting Demonstrated background working with high functioning autism or supporting neurodiverse learners Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with educators, specialists, and families Ability to deliver academic support while encouraging self-advocacy Flexibility, adaptability, and problem-solving skills
Role Responsibilities:
Provide direct 1:1 support to a high school student throughout the school day Assist with classroom assignments, organization, and daily routines Reinforce strategies outlined in the student's academic plans Model positive behaviors and social interactions while helping to build self-confidence Maintain regular, clear communication with teaching staff regarding progress and challenges Ensure the student's safety and wellbeing in various school settings Experience a fulfilling contract assignment in a supportive educational community, where your dedication is valued and your contributions make a difference.
