Job Description

Holy Cross Lutheran Academy is a growing preschool through 12th grade private Christian school in beautiful Sanford, Florida. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Guidance Counselor who is a strong, committed believer in Christ and is passionate about supporting students' academic, emotional, and spiritual development. The ideal candidate will integrate faith into counseling practices and serve as a trusted mentor to students.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the HCLA administration in all aspects of student support Provide individual and group counseling to students regarding academic, social, emotional, and spiritual matters Guide students in course selection, academic planning, and post-secondary preparation Support students in developing a Biblical worldview in decision-making and personal growth Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success Respond to student crises with wisdom, compassion, and professionalism Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with school policies Organize and lead workshops on topics such as character development, college readiness, and faith-based life skills
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Counseling, Psychology, or a related field Relevant state certification or licensure (preferred or required depending on state regulations) Demonstrated commitment to the Christian faith and agreement with the school's statement of faith Strong knowledge of Biblical principles and ability to apply them in counseling settings Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting preferred

A personal and active relationship with Jesus Christ Regular participation in a local church community A lifestyle that reflects Christian values and integrity A heart for ministry and serving students
Pay:
$42,000.00 - $52,500.00 per year
