School Counselor's Job Description:
Primary Duty:
Develop and implement age-appropriate lessons. Create engaging lesson plans that promote social-emotional learning. Assess student progress and provide feedback on performance. Monitor student behavior and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate social-emotional learning into the overall school curriculumSkills:
Strong behavior management skills to effectively manage a classroom environment. Ability to develop and adapt curriculum to meet the needs of diverse learners. Excellent classroom management skills to create a safe and supportive learning environment. Consult with parents, teachers, administrators, and supporting agencies concerning the needs and abilities of students. Work effectively with community organizations and volunteers.
