Responsibilities YMCA Child Care Services seeks enthusiastic part-time Lead Counselors to work the Summer Day Camp Season. Lead Counselors assist the Program Director oversee the daily functions of the Summer Day Camp for their assigned group(s).

Actively engage with and provide quality care for program participants in order to deliver a quality childcare experience.

Lead:

Good communication, accounting, and organizational skills. Requirements Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as: Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent required. 1-3 Years of Higher Education or the equivalent is Preferred. Excellent communication, supervisory, and organizational skills. Excellent human relation skills and enthusiasm. Basic math skills and demonstrated recordkeeping proficiency. An elevated level of organization, flexibility, and ability to handle difficult situations effectively. Must have a valid driver s license with a clean driving record. Successfully complete within 60 days of hire: CPR/First Aid/O2 Certification, Bloodborne Pathogen training, Child Abuse Prevention training, and all other required training as specified by your supervisor.

Salary:

Part-time $15.25-$15.75

Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm
