Job Description
THE ORGANIZATION BELIEVE
Circle City (BCC) is an early college and career-focused high school that uses real-world experiences, societal norms and expectations to foster the academic achievement, autonomy, and agency needed to be a contributing member of our evolving society. As the Dean of Early College and Career, your key responsibilities revolve around designing, implementing, and overseeing programs that prepare scholars for post secondary readiness. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Early College/Career High School Implement programs that provide scholars with early exposure to various career pathways. This could include internships, mentorship programs, career fairs, and partnerships with local businesses and industries. Encourage scholars to explore different fields of interest and gain practical experience. Understand the criteria and process for dual credit enrollment, alignment of school and college courses as well as how to transcript credits Understand the criteria and process for work based learning programs, alignment of school and technical courses as well as how to transcript credits Collaborate with Ivy Tech Community College and other college partners to develop individualized degree plans in higher education Collaborate with career partners to develop individualized career certification plans in the workforce Collaborate weekly with the Dean of Early College and Career team and Ivy Tech Community College staff and career partners or as needed to ensure academic and social success for scholars Understand the master schedule process and work side-by-side with the guidance counselor to schedule scholars in a variety of different schedules to meet the needs of the college/career pathway Assist with coordinating and interpretation of all state assessments required for graduation as well as AP exams, PSAT, ACT, SAT, etc. Program Management Co-plan school guidance and counseling programs to ensure that they meet identified needs Develop and coordinate a continuing evaluation of guidance program and make changes based on findings Compile, maintain, and file all required physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents Development a college going, career ready culture by facilitating such activities as college visits, career fairs, and guest speakers during Freedom Friday C Block Manage all external early college and early career partners Guidance Teach school developmental guidance curriculum to scholars Help village leaders incorporate guidance-related information into existing curriculum Provide guidance to individuals and groups of scholars to develop Purpose Pathway plans and career awareness Counsel individuals and small groups Prepare and promote a college and career readiness culture Consultation Consult parents, teachers, administrators, and other relevant people to enhance their work with scholars Use an effective referral process to help scholars and others use special programs and services Work with guidance counselor, college, career, school and community partners to bring together resources for scholarsIDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

3+ Years of Teaching Experience Bachelor's Degree required Eligibility to work in the United States on a full-time basisPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
