Master's Degree and Indiana Professional Standards Board certification in School Counseling.Other Skills and Abilities:
Must have a working knowledge of computers and their capabilities. Must have a valid driver's license.RESPONSIBILITIES
Collects, organizes, and analyzes information about students through records, tests, interviews, and professional sources, to appraise their interests, aptitudes, abilities, and personality characteristics for educational planning. Compiles and studies educational, and economic information to aid students in making and carrying out educational objectives. Refers students to social service agencies, special programs, or placement services. Assists students to understand and overcome social and emotional problems. Engages in research and follow-up activities to evaluate counseling techniques. Develops and maintains system for student registration and/or orientation. Monitors collection and distribution of grades. Utilizes, evaluates, and oversees the maintenance of an accurate cumulative record file for each student. Teaches classes. Performs other related duties as assigned by the administration and/or other designee.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the Corporation. Job Requirements Master degree preferred.
