Job Details
The Counselor will partner with other school personnel to meet the needs of the students in the school. This is a full term, interim position. The School Adjustment Counselor will have the following roles and responsibilities: Provide group and individual counseling services Case management services for assigned caseload Participate in IEP meetings; develop and progress monitor IEP goals Collaborate and consult with school personnel on topics related to social/emotional learning and mental health issues Provide crisis intervention when needed Conduct self harm and threat assessments as needed Do behavioral assessments and develop behavior support plans Family communication and collaboration as part of service delivery planning and services Collaborate and consult with teachers and related service personnel regarding strategies and interventions appropriate for students and communication regarding progress monitoring Maintain contact with outside providers and agencies to facilitate a comprehensive approach to the student's service delivery Experience working with Culturally Diverse Populations
