Immediately Job Description The Marion School District is seeking an innovative & collaborative School Adjustment Counselor for Sippican Elementary School in Marion, MA.Responsibilities:
- Provide direct service and consultation for students
- Use a significant portion of each day in direct contact with students for counseling, planning or decision making
- Provide classroom and small group instruction
- Provide crisis counseling and referral when necessary to outside agencies
- Mediate with students and staff to resolve conflicts that interfere with the learning process
- Provide consultation to staff regarding student regulation in the classroom and assistance in developing positive behavior intervention and support plans
- Serve as a resource person to staff to provide information about behavioral, social, emotional matters which may have significance for student's program
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators and parents
