Immediately Job Description The Marion School District is seeking an innovative & collaborative School Adjustment Counselor for Sippican Elementary School in Marion, MA.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct service and consultation for students
  • Use a significant portion of each day in direct contact with students for counseling, planning or decision making
  • Provide classroom and small group instruction
  • Provide crisis counseling and referral when necessary to outside agencies
  • Mediate with students and staff to resolve conflicts that interfere with the learning process
  • Provide consultation to staff regarding student regulation in the classroom and assistance in developing positive behavior intervention and support plans
  • Serve as a resource person to staff to provide information about behavioral, social, emotional matters which may have significance for student's program
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators and parents
  • All other duties assigned by the principal or their designee The mission of our school system is to inspire all students to think, to learn and to care.
