ADJUSTMENT COUNSELORJOHN ASHLEY
SCHOOLDuties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group counseling services
  • Design and implement tiered supports and interventions
  • Provide case management services for an assigned caseload
  • Collaborate and consult with school personnel regarding social-emotional learning and mental health needs
  • Provide crisis intervention services as needed
  • Communicate and collaborate with families as part of service planning and delivery
  • Consult with teachers and related service providers regarding appropriate student interventions, strategies, and progress monitoring
  • Maintain communication with outside providers and agencies to support comprehensive student service delivery
  • Develop individual student goals and benchmarks; collect and analyze data; and prepare progress reports
  • Conduct IEP assessments, write goals, and complete progress reports as needed
  • Participate in and maintain QBS Safety Care certification
  • Conduct self-harm and threat assessment screenings as indicated
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Licensure Requirement:
  • DESE Licensed School Adjustment/Guidance Counselor K-12
Qualifications:
  • Licensed School Adjustment/Guidance Counselor/Social Worker preferred
  • Knowledge of community resources and wraparound supports
  • Strong understanding of child development and social-emotional interventions
  • Strong organizational, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Experience working with diverse student populations
  • Ability to effectively support students, families, and school staff
  • Knowledge of mental health and family systems
  • Bilingual encouraged to apply
