Job Description

Archbishop Spalding, located in Severn, Maryland, is seeking a full-time, qualified School Counselor. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Counselor to support students' academic, social, and emotional well-being. The ideal candidate will provide guidance, counseling, and resources to help students navigate challenges and achieve success in school and beyond. This position's hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Essential Functions Provide individual and group counseling to support students' emotional and social development. Assist students in developing academic goals. Identify and address behavioral issues, collaborating with teachers and parents/guardians. Conduct crisis intervention and provide referrals to external resources when necessary. Support students in conflict resolution, peer relationships, and decision-making. Collaborate with school staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment. Maintain accurate and confidential student records. Position Qualifications A Master's degree in School Counseling. Maryland state certification/licensure as a School Counselor. Experience working with students in an educational setting (preferred). Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. The ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and faculty. Pay Range:
$42,500 - 85,000,
