ABRAHAM LINCOLN SCHOOL PRE K - GRADE 3 GUIDANCE COUNSELOR
Abraham Lincoln School is seeking a compassionate, student-centered Guidance Counselor to join our supportive and collaborative team. The successful candidate will provide individual and group counseling and deliver social-emotional support to students.
Key Responsibilities and Skills:
Provide individual and group counseling to support students' social-emotional development Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to address student needs Support positive behavior interventions (PBIS) and school-wide social-emotional learning (SEL initiatives Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment Demonstrate strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Qualifications:
Valid Maine School Counselor Certification Experience working with students in elementary, middle, or high school settings Strong understanding of social-emotional learning, adolescent development, and counseling best practices Ability to teach SEL classes
