This position focuses primarily on supporting students social, emotional, and behavioral development within the school setting. The ideal candidate is relational, flexible, proactive, and comfortable working with students individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings. A commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education is essential.
We are ideally seeking a candidate available approximately two days per week, though scheduling may be flexible for the right candidate. Position Overview Part-time position Preferred schedule of approximately 2 days per week Flexible scheduling possible Works collaboratively with administration, teachers, families, and support staff Focus on student social skills, peer relationships, behavior support, and school success Responsibilities May Include Providing school-based student support and counseling services Facilitating small group sessions focused on friendship, problem solving, emotional regulation, conflict resolution, and positive peer interactions Teaching classroom lessons on topics such as kindness, friendship, empathy, problem solving, emotional awareness, and healthy social interactions Supporting positive student behavior and helping students navigate peer conflict Collaborating with teachers and administration regarding student support needs Communicating professionally with families regarding student growth and support strategies Assisting with student support planning and proactive behavioral support Helping foster a positive, faith-filled school culture rooted in Catholic values Supporting students during challenging behavioral or emotional situations as needed Other duties as assigned by administration About St. John Vianney At St. John Vianney, we educate compassionate, knowledgeable students to follow the path of Jesus Christ.
