Part-time, Contract Job Summary:
To provide social and emotional support to students through both individual and group sessions. To work with teachers and administration to create a supportive and inclusive environment for students and their families.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support of school mission and culture and adhere to school policies Facilitate crisis intervention and prevention programs Communicate with teachers , parents and administrators regularly about students plans and progress. Support character development while maintaining a positive relationship with both students and staff. Work with teachers and staff members to facilitate relevant trainings and programs. Skills & Attributes Ability to create a positive, engaging, and supportive environment for students of all ages. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Familiarity with Islamic educational environments or cultural sensitivity.Education and Experience Requirements:
Education:
Degree in Counseling or related fieldExperience:
At least 1 year of experience. Preferred Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a culturally diverse school community.
