ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties may be assigned.
Instructional Skills:
Teaches District approved curriculum. Provides counseling services to individuals, small groups, and large classroom groups. Consult with teachers, staff, and parents regarding meeting the developmental needs of students. Provides agency referral information. Consults with parents regarding the developmental needs of students. Responds to crisis situations when appropriate. Lead the student 504 processes. Assists and proctors ACT, ASVAB, WorkKeys, EOC, MAP, etc., where applicable. Create and update ICAP where applicable. Transition implementation pre and post-secondary where applicable. Participate in, coordinate or conduct activities that contribute to the effective operation of the school. Assists in the development of the master schedule for the building where applicable.
Professional Responsibilities:
Participates in professional development activities. Demonstrates enthusiasm toward the teaching profession. Follows the policies and procedures of the school district. Annually analyzes the counseling program in a report to the Board. Is available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day. Maintains regular attendance. Maintains confidentiality, and unquestionable integrity.
