Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit The primary purpose of Student Support Services is to provide academic support services to low income, first generation college students and individuals with disabilities.
This position is fully funded by the federal Student Support Services (SSS) grant under Title IV of the Higher Education Act. Continued employment is contingent upon continued federal funding and program compliance. Description of Work The Program Coordinator/Counselor is responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of federally mandated Student Support Services (SSS) program components. The position ensures delivery of comprehensive academic, career, financial literacy, and personal counseling services to eligible low-income, first-generation college students and students with disabilities in accordance with 34 CFR Part 646 and the Higher Education Act, Title IV TRIO Programs . The Coordinator/Counselor directly supports program objectives related to:
