Ability to provide instruction that reflects multiple perspectives of education.
Ability to work effectively with administrators, colleagues and school based staff, students, parents and community.
Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
Under direction of the Executive Director of Student Services, this position helps students achieve their potential and assists them in making educational, career, and life plans that hold promise for their personal fulfillment as mature and contributing members of society. The position also provides oversight of a small number of 504 students.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of district curriculum, techniques for integrating curriculum, district policies, and effective special education instructional practices.Understanding of the teaching/learning process.
Ability to provide instruction that reflects multiple perspectives of education.
Ability to work effectively with administrators, colleagues and school based staff, students, parents and community.
Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
Masters Degree with a major in School (Guidance) Counseling.Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.
