Established in 2014, the school offers a personalized learning environment where students engage in rigorous academics alongside immersive art education. Students participate in daily arts instruction and explore two disciplines, chosen from Dance, Music, Theater, and Visual Arts. Arts Academy of NH provides a collaborative and nurturing environment, enabling students to develop their talents and explore their full potential. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in Salem, NH for a High School Counselor. The counselor will support students in their academic, social, and emotional development and help them navigate high school life. Primary responsibilities include developing and coordinating IEPs and 504s, academic advising, career counseling, supporting students in setting and achieving personal and educational goals, and guiding students through college and career pathways. The counselor will collaborate with educators, parents/guardians, and external stakeholders to ensure student success and well-being. Qualifications Strong skills in Student Counseling, including supporting social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Experience in Career Counseling and guiding high school students in exploring and pursuing post-graduation plans. Proficiency in Academic Advising to support students' academic performance and course selection within a diverse curriculum. Knowledge of Education systems and strategies to address the needs of high school students. Highly developed communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and outside resources to support student development. Master's degree in School Counseling or related field, with relevant certification or licensure preferred. At least 3 Years of experience working in secondary education or with students in grades 9-12 is a plus. Reports to :

Determined by the Arts Academy of NH Board of Trustees and documented in an individual contract.
Salary:
$50,000 a year + Benefits
