Position Overview:

The Elementary School Counselor supports the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development of students in grades K-6. This role is essential in helping students build strong foundations for success in school and life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and small group counseling to support student needs
• Deliver classroom guidance lessons aligned to social-emotional learning standards
• Support students with behavior, attendance, and personal challenges
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support the whole child
• Coordinate with outside agencies when needed
• Serve as a member of building support teams and crisis response efforts

Qualifications:

• Valid Ohio School Counselor License
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Commitment to supporting all students with high expectations and care
