Appointment Length Regular Continuous/Until Further Notice Hiring Range $40,000 - $57,000 Salary About this Position The position supports student success by guiding prospective, new, and returning students through the admissions and enrollment process while providing high‑quality academic advising. This role assists students with selecting courses, understanding program requirements, and accessing university resources. The position also offers individualized support to students experiencing academic challenges and participates in orientation, enrollment events, and departmental initiatives. In addition, the role maintains accurate student records, utilizes advising software to track academic progress, and contributes to continuous improvement through data‑informed decision‑making. The position engages in ongoing professional development and serves on university committees focused on student success, retention, and advising initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's psychology, sociology, business (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date) Academic Advisor I (non-exempt): Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years experience. Academic Advisor II (exempt): Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years experience. Academic Advisor III (exempt): Master's degree and 1-3 years experience. Senior Academic Advisor I (exempt): Master's degree, 3 years experience. Senior Academic Advisor II (exempt): Master's degree, 5 years experience. Skills, Proficiencies, and/orKnowledge:
Possess a positive attitude, good communication skills, and a desire to assist students in achieving success. Demonstrate creativity and initiative and be a proactive participant in a team environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Manage confidential information appropriately. Must be service-oriented and able to work with a diverse group of faculty, staff, and students in a positive manner at all times. Preferred Qualifications Master's psychology, sociology, business Five years of experience directly comparable to academic advising. Skills, Proficiencies, and/orKnowledge:
