Immediately Job Description The Perkiomen Valley School District is seeking a student-centered, collaborative professional to serve as an Elementary School Counselor at Skippack Elementary School beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to supporting the academic, career, and social-emotional development of all students while fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment. Certification and/or Licensure Requirements This position requires Pennsylvania certification in School Counselor PK-12. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrated knowledge of child development and the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of elementary-aged students. Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Ability to provide individual and group counseling services and implement a comprehensive school counseling program. Experience collaborating with teachers, support staff, families, administrators, and community agencies to support student success. Ability to analyze student data and implement proactive interventions that promote student well-being and achievement. Commitment to fostering a culturally responsive, equitable, and student-centered learning environment. Compensation The starting salary will be determined as outlined in the Perkiomen Valley Education Association Agreement.
