Job Description

The Bradley School is a licensed private academy educating students who present with special education needs. These students may have learning, emotional and/or behavioral challenges and struggle to succeed in a traditional classroom setting. The Bradley School offers each student a different kind of academic experience and a renewed chance at success. Our experienced staff and our dedication to enhancing the lives of every child we serve are the building blocks of education at the Bradley School. In addition, our classrooms include state-of-the-art resources that are specifically designed to serve the needs of the students. We are looking for a School Counselor who is motivated, compassionate and has a calling and passion for helping children. We are looking for someone with initiative, creativity and a desire to have a positive impact on a child's life.
Primary Responsibilities:
Actively participates in IEP, truancy, and other student support meetings to advocate and plan for student successMaintains contact with all families and school district in accordance with department's requirementsConnects families to community resources as requested.

Completes strengths, needs, and cultural inventory for day school students and shares relevant information with the school community.

Provides classroom and small group lessons based on student needsSupports with student transition back to home school district Supports students with college and career explorationCrisis SupportQualifications best suited for the position:

InitiativeAbility to build rapport with studentsPatience and creativity while working with students at their own paceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProfessional demeanor, sound judgment, dependability, and a strong work ethic
