The counselor will work collaboratively with students, families, teachers, and campus teams to support student well-being, emotional regulation, social development, and academic success. Responsibilities Provide individual and small group counseling services based on student needs Support students with social, emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success Assist students with goal setting, problem-solving, self-advocacy, and coping strategies Promote positive mental health, emotional wellness, and school engagement Provide crisis intervention and emotional support when needed Support campus teams with behavioral concerns, student support planning, and intervention strategies Connect families with community resources and outside support services when appropriate Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with district and professional standards Advocate for student well-being, safety, and equitable access to support services

Caseload:

2 locations at 77068: Campus A - 9 students, Campus B - 21 students & 77388: 6 students Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field required Master's degree preferred Active state certification or licensure as a School Counselor (if applicable) Previous experience working with children or adolescents in school or counseling settings preferred Knowledge of child development, behavior management, and counseling strategies Understanding of mandated reporting requirements and student confidentiality practices Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and multidisciplinary teams Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Is compassionate, student-centered, and collaborative Builds positive relationships with students and school teams Is organized, flexible, and solution-focused Values mental health support within educational settings Enjoys helping students build confidence, resilience, and self-advocacy skills

Pay:

$60.00 - $70.00 per hour
