As part of its continued efforts to enhance student well-being and international student support, Woosong University seeks an experienced and motivated Psychological Counselor to provide counseling services, develop student support systems, and contribute to the overall adjustment, academic success, and personal development of international students. Position Overview The Psychological Counselor will be responsible for planning, providing, and improving counseling services for international students at Woosong University. The role includes counseling students on matters related to daily life, career development, financial concerns, academic adjustment, and psychological well-being, as well as conducting follow-up sessions and maintaining appropriate records and reports. The successful candidate will also help establish cooperative networks with external professional counselors, counseling centers, and mental health institutions, while developing training programs and support systems for senior student mentors. In addition, the counselor will promote awareness of the International Student Counseling Office and use Sol Dream+ and data-driven approaches to improve the quality and accessibility of counseling services. This position combines full-time counseling and student support responsibilities with a Visiting Professor appointment. The successful candidate will also teach one three-credit course per semester in a subject area relevant to their academic or professional background. The role requires excellent communication skills in English, strong interpersonal and organizational abilities, professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity. Korean language proficiency is desirable but not required. Key Responsibilities Plan counseling programs for international students and prepare outcome reports Provide professional psychological counseling and counseling guidance for international students Compile and maintain counseling inventories through interviews with all newly admitted international students Provide feedback and follow-up support after counseling sessions Establish cooperative networks with external professional counselors and hospitals Develop and train a senior mentor system for the International Student Counseling Center Improve awareness and visibility of the International Student Counseling Office through various channels Manage online wellness and mental health assessments for international students Teach one three-credit course per semester in a subject area relevant to the candidate's academic or professional background. Required Qualifications A master's degree or higher in Psychology or Counseling and Therapy, or a closely related field. At least two years of demonstrated experience in psychological counseling, student counseling, mental health support, international student support, or a closely related field. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Preferred Qualifications Experience providing counseling to international students and individuals from different cultural backgrounds Holder of a psychology counseling-related certification equivalent to Korean Psychological Counselor Level 2 or higher or Clinical Psychologist Level 2 or higher in Korea Korean language proficiency.

A settlement allowance of
KRW 100,000
per day will be provided for early arrival prior to the commencement date, for up to fifteen (15) days.
Vacation :
