Job Summary:
This is a 1.0 FTE long term substitute position for a High School Counselor (grades 9-12). Under the direction of the school Principal, the High School Counselor is responsible for planning, organizing and delivering a comprehensive school guidance and counseling program that personalizes education and supports, promotes and enhances the academic, personal, social and career development of all students. Specific responsibilities for this position are as described on the attached job description. This is a temporary position beginning May 26 through June 15, 2026.
Salary Range:
Guest Teacher pay rate is $28.67 per hour, $215.00 per day for 0-20 days; $30.67 per hour, $230.00 per day for 21-44 days; and $34.67 per hour, $260.00 per day for 45 or more days.

Endorsement Required:
ESA School Counselor.
Qualifications:
Valid State of Washington teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement. Possess and maintain a valid First Aid and CPR certification for duration of employment with the District when required for position by Board Policy. Applicants are responsible for determining that they have the appropriate endorsement and current Washington State certification for the position.
Benefits:

Generally, you are eligible for SEBB benefits if you are anticipated to work at least 630 hours per school year (September 1 through August 31).
