Summary of Job Duties:
To serveSNAP E&T
clients in assigned counties. The coordinator has a primary duty to provide career services to participants which will lead to improvements in their education levels or lead to employment or upskilling as needed. The coordinator's role is to help remove barriers to childcare, transportation, and other areas that will allow participants to improve self-sufficiency.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Serve as participant case coordinator and create individual client education/career plan. 2. Process weekly client referrals received from the SNAPWorks database. 3. Follow guidelines inDHS SNAP E&T
Handbook and Manual. 4. Identify participant barriers and develop solutions to eliminate or reduce barriers. 5. Accurately maintain up-to-date participant files and community resource manuals. 6. Monitor participants' monthly progress and provide steps to maintain successful progress. 7. Submit all required reports in a timely manner to the program director and state E&T coordinator. 8. Complete required career services provider training and utilize those skills to counsel and advise participants. 9. Communicate and collaborate with the director/staff to recognize participant achievement. 10. Visit local business and industry; Maintain an employment board with job leads for participants. 11. Use technology to assist students with job searches, post-secondary research, and career planning. 12. Utilize the LACES database information to stay abreast of participant attendance and academic progress. 13. Perform other duties and special projects assigned. Successful candidates must complete the Career Service Provider (CSP) Course within one (1) year of hire. Participants attending the Career Services Provider training must remain employed for at least one year following completion of the CSP course or reimburse the Arkansas Adult Learning Resource Center for the full tuition received unless the individual's contract is not renewed because of a reduction in force. The local program will be responsible for initial course payment.Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required; three years of experience in program administration or related area preferred. Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Additional Information:
