Job Goal:
The Chips and Wafers Semiconductor Camp Student Intern is a leadership-focused opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to support the facilitation of a hands-on, industry-connected summer camp experience. Interns will serve as role models, assist with program logistics, and help ensure a smooth and engaging experience for participating students.
This role provides direct exposure to semiconductor careers, professional environments, and collaboration with industry partners.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current high school junior or senior enrolled in a CUSD CTE or related program
Demonstrated reliability (attendance, punctuality, and task completion)
Ability to work collaboratively with peers, staff, and external partners
Must be able to attend all camp dates and times
Transportation to Hamilton High School required (district-arranged transport for field trips may apply)
Core Job Functions:
Student Support & Mentorship
Assist with guiding and supporting camp participants during activities and transitions
Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating professionalism and engagement
Help facilitate small group discussions and encourage participation
Field Trip & Industry Coordination
Support transitions and logistics during company site visits
Assist with student supervision in professional environments
Represent the program with professionalism when interacting with industry partners
Program Logistics & Operations
Assist with daily check-in and attendance tracking
Support setup and breakdown of materials, kits, and equipment
Help organize and distribute supplies for hands-on activities
Media & Documentation
Capture photos and assist with documenting camp activities (as permitted)
Support creation of content that highlights student experiences
Work Expectations
Active supervision of students in classroom and off-site environments
Participation in indoor and outdoor activities, including walking during site visits

Physical Requirements
