Established in 1962, we are committed to promoting the inclusion, empowerment, and independence of people with IDD. Through a wide range of services, including adult day programs, family support, respite care, job development, and independent living skills training, we aim to improve the quality of life for those we serve and advocate for their human rights and full participation in society. At The Arc, we strive to create a community where individuals with IDD can live, work, and thrive. About the position:
As a Job Coach, you are a dedicated and empathetic professional committed to empowering individuals with IDD to achieve their employment goals and enhance their quality of life. Your supportive approach fosters independence and community involvement, aligning with The Arc's mission. You will work with clients from diverse backgrounds and with unique life experiences, providing respectful, inclusive support to help them succeed in the workplace. With strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for mentorship, you thrive in guiding clients through their employment journey.What You'll Do:
On-the-Job Support:
Provide individualized assistance to clients in their workplace, promoting skill development, job retention, and workplace integration.Employer Collaboration:
Work closely with employers to ensure job accommodations are met and that clients receive the necessary support to succeed.Skill Development:
Assist clients in acquiring and refining job-related skills, fostering independence and confidence in their roles.Problem-Solving:
Address and resolve workplace challenges, advocating for clients and facilitating effective solutions.Progress Monitoring:
Regularly assess and document client progress, adjusting support strategies as needed to ensure sustained employment success.What You'll Bring:

Ability to work collaboratively with clients, employers, and team members to achieve shared objectives.Educational Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Social Services, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel locally to meet with clients, partners, or attend events, if applicable. Ability to work in various environments, including office and community settings. Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
