About the position:
As a Job Coach, you are a dedicated and empathetic professional committed to empowering individuals with IDD to achieve their employment goals and enhance their quality of life. Your supportive approach fosters independence and community involvement, aligning with The Arc's mission. You will work with clients from diverse backgrounds and with unique life experiences , providing respectful, inclusive support to help them succeed in the workplace. With strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for mentorship, you thrive in guiding clients through their employment journey.What You'll Do:
On-the-Job Support:
Provide individualized assistance to clients in their workplace, promoting skill development, job retention, and workplace integration.Employer Collaboration:
Work closely with employers to ensure job accommodations are met and that clients receive the necessary support to succeed.Skill Development:
Assist clients in acquiring and refining job-related skills, fostering independence and confidence in their roles.Problem-Solving:
Address and resolve workplace challenges, advocating for clients and facilitating effective solutions.Progress Monitoring:
Regularly assess and document client progress, adjusting support strategies as needed to ensure sustained employment success.What You'll Bring:
Cultural Competence:
Comfort and sensitivity in working with clients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring inclusive and respectful support for all.Tech-Savvy & Organized :
Comfort using technology including email, Google Calendar, and learning various applications such as Slack, Asana, or similar platforms. Ability to manage schedules, track tasks, and complete documentation. Commitment toEmpowerment:
Dedication to supporting individuals with IDD in achieving their employment goals and enhancing their quality of life.Mentorship Skills:
Experience in coaching or mentoring, with the ability to motivate and guide clients toward success.Problem-Solving Expertise:
Strong analytical skills to identify challenges and implement effective solutions in the workplace.Collaborative Spirit:
Ability to work collaboratively with clients, employers, and team members to achieve shared objectives.Educational Qualifications:
