Job Description

CSA San Diego County is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose primary mission is the promotion of social justice and public welfare through programs, services, and advocacy against all forms of discrimination, including advocacy for the eradication of housing discrimination to assure equal housing opportunity for all individuals. CSA is committed to promoting and enforcing fair housing laws and equal housing opportunities for all individuals who live in San Diego County.
Other no cost services include:
hate crime prevention, civic engagement and Human Trafficking prevention and education. The Tester Recruiter/Trainer will plan and coordinate the recruitment of new investigative testers. The applicant will also plan and organize training sessions for the new testers and support the Fair Housing Manager and the legal consultant with help that may be needed.
The applicant must:
Be organized in their work to ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner, have excellent communication skills, and have a profound commitment to civil rights and social justice
  • B.A. or B.S. degree in Social Service related field
  • Preferred knowledge of housing issues, community organizing
  • Ability to work with diverse communities in a culturally sensitive manner
  • Ability to remain flexible and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Bilingual, English-Spanish strongly preferred
  • Detailed planning and implementation skills
  • Demonstrated skills in writing and communication
  • Ability to reach out effectively to low-income individuals and community-based organizations
