Job Description
National Holistic Institute is a premier college of Massage Therapy with ten campuses across California. We are looking for a multi-faceted role, pivotal to campus and student success at our Emeryville Campus.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Student Support:
Coordinate services and systems that will support students with issues impacting their ability to successfully complete the program. In doing this, the SLCC will Supervise student employees Provide in-school job search assistance & housing searches Management of the tutor & lab program Support students through personal/home concerns Provide community resource development Coordination of graduation and other celebratory activities Be pivotal in complaint resolution, job readiness assistance, and resume buildingJob Placement :
Assist with the provision support to, and follow-up / tracking of students as they graduate from the program Find job placements in the field of Massage Therapy Provide public relations and outreach to potential employers, and lead in-class discussion about career development Provide outreach into the greater San Francisco community to support marketing of our public massage clinic and program Administrative Support Assist in general office organization, including management of handout & student distributions Inventory control, supply ordering, occasional reception duties Creating & updating various data collection spreadsheets & reports Working with student surveys, classroom set-up, special event coordination and other general office tasks and responsibilitiesEducation:
High school or equivalent The ideal candidate will have the following: Strong analytical and organizational skills Skilled in problem-solving and navigating student challenges Excellent interpersonal abilities: active listening, conflict resolution, and empathy Comfortable working with diverse student populations Understanding of post-secondary education demographics and student needs Capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook Experience in student support services preferred Self-motivated and able to work independently Background in project development and execution Public speaking skills a plus Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset Team player with strong people skills Paid Holidays include: New Year's Day Martin Luther King Jr Day President's Day Friday before Easter Memorial Day Juneteenth Independent's Day Labor Day Thanksgiving Day Day after Thanksgiving Christmas Eve (Close at 1:00 p.m.) Christmas Day Winter Holiday Break (Between Christmas and New Year's Day)Benefits:
