Job Description
Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students with orthopedic impairments within a dynamic educational environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by assisting an Orthopedic Impairment (OI) Specialist, focusing on student mobility, equipment usage, and fostering independence.
Key Qualifications:
Prior experience as a paraprofessional in school settings Bilingual Spanish proficiency required CPI Certification is a must Training in assistive technology and mobility devices essential CNA/Medical Training strongly preferred Experience within California schools is a plus Outstanding organizational and administrative abilities Passion for empowering students with special needsPrimary Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on support for students using walkers, wheelchairs, and other mobility equipment Collaborate directly with the OI Specialist to facilitate effective training and safe usage of mobility and assistive devices Monitor student safety and adapt support in varied classroom and campus locations as part of an itinerant assignment Assist in documenting progress and maintaining records in accordance with school policies Foster a positive, inclusive environment that prioritizes student well-being and successBenefits & Perks:
