Full Job Description Intake Administrator Summary Description:
The Intake Administrator (IA), reporting to the Vice President of Workforce Development, is responsible for conducting employment readiness assessments, develop individual services plans for participants, refer participants to appropriate Goodwill Works Employment and Career Development training seminars, conduct employer outreach, develop appropriate job openings for the participants, and refer participants to other appropriate community resources. As directed by the Director or designee, the IA may also be required to visit our partner sites to do for quality assurance checks. The IA will also follow up with participants and employers to ensure the participant's job retention. There is significant travel required to the various Goodwill co-location sites, and to local employment training and employment opportunity sites. The IA will also interface with other Goodwill departments, including, but not limited to Human Resources, Information Technology, Accounting, and Retail Operations. Exemplary Duties /
Responsibilities:
Planning and Development Functions As assigned, provides mentoring and supervision of new incoming ESCs and provides feedback to the Division Director or his/her designee as to the progress of the new ESCs on the job skills and responsibilities. As assigned, manages caseloads for vacant ESC positions or whenever an ESC is out for an extended period of time. Will provide periodic ESC staff training on topics that include, but are not limited to, case notes, data input, job retention strategies, employer outreach strategies, etc. Provides feedback to the Division Director or his/her designee as to the current staff training needs of the division as well as what local resources are available to meet the training needs, such as resources from other community organizations, workforce investment boards, and educational institutions. Leads a "team approach" for meeting the skill training, work experience, life skills and unsubsidized employment needs of people served. Facilitates supportive services that benefit the employment plan of participants. Conducts an initial job readiness assessment of the participant and together with the participant develops the participant's individual service plan.

Is responsible for ongoing reviews and modifications (as necessary) to the participant's individual service plan. Is responsible for post-employment needs of participants and follow-up measurements to ensure the participant's job retention. As assigned by the Division Director or designee, provides job coaching and/or on-going on-site supervision for participants enrolled in apprenticeship training positions. Consults directly with service participants, employers, and referring agencies to develop unsubsidized employment opportunities. Stays current on employment trends and articulates those trends to the Division Director or designee, agency management team, and Board of Trustees as requested. Relates tax credit savings information to prospective employers. Keeps abreast of occupational needs, labor market fluctuations, economic trends and entry level requirements for participant's employment. Maintains a community resource employment bank that targets the populations served and area industries. As assigned, conduct positive recruitment or mini-job fairs at the site(s) where stationed. Share responsibilities and accomplishments with all members of the Division team. As assigned by the Division Director or designee, acts as the Goodwill representative at various community hearings and professional functions that will include public speaking, multi-media presentations, and other types of information sharing. Quality Assurance Functions Is responsible for implementing standards, evaluation procedures, and tools for reviewing and monitoring the overall quality and effectiveness of Goodwill case management, job development and job placement programs as per Goodwill and CARF specifications. As assigned by the Division Director or designee, participates in periodic monitoring and evaluation of in-house employment training programs. As requested, generates reports as to the effectiveness of the various Workforce Development programs and forwards recommendations for job placement and job retention improvement to the Division Director.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Any combination of education or experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would qualify. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to: Bachelor's degree in planning, social science or related health care discipline. Familiarity working with special needs populations such as people with disabilities and disadvantaged conditions including, but not limited to, homelessness, felonies, at-risk youth, welfare to work, and senior adults. An additional three years of significant case management and/or job placement experience may substitute for the degree. To be considered for this position, the Senior Employment Services Coordinator must have completed at least two years as a Goodwill SOLAC Employment Services Coordinator and must be in good employment standing with Goodwill SOLAC.

Caseworthy License/Certifications:
