Monitor Bryant Temple A.M.E-Community Development Corporation Los Angeles, CA Job Details 4 hours ago Full Job Description Job Summary A Monitor is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive environment for all participants. This position oversees daily activities, conducts regular safety checks, monitors participant behavior, assists with meals and hygiene distribution, and provides basic support to both staff and participants. The Monitor serves as the frontline presence in the facility, helping ensure order, safety, and consistent program operations throughout each shift. Duties Oversee participant activities daily. Perform walk-throughs of the facility at least hourly. Complete all required logs (i.e. Monitor, Fire Watch, etc.) Distribution of hygiene kits and clothing for program participants. Meal and snack distribution - breakfast, lunch and dinner depending on the shift worked. Cleaning/disposing of serving dishes. Monitor participant shower times to ensure time-limit is observed and all participants have the opportunity to shower. Assist participants with available resources for basic needs. Manage television programming. Diffuse conflict between participants, if necessary. Dispense water, coffee and other beverages as needed. Assist case manager(s) and participants with completion of forms (upon request). Perform routine safety checks inside the facility and in the immediate outside area (smoking area, parking lot). Light cleaning (emptying trash, cleaning up spills, etc.) Other duties as assigned. Requirements English, spelling, and basic math. 1-year minimum experience in Human/Social Services preferred. Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees. Must follow the instructions of Senior Management. Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Must remain punctual at all times. Must possess the ability serve as a team player and operate with a sense of urgency. Must possess basic computer skills and be able to navigate required online training. •Applicants must have a current negative TB test or the ability to obtain one within 14 days of hire.•Background checks will be performed for all applicants.•
