06-09-2026 About the Role The SUD Counselor provides support, navigation, and resource linkage services to individuals seeking substance use and behavioral health support. This role works as part of a team under the direction of the Program Manager to connect individuals to services, provide ongoing support, and coordinate care. The position supports callers and community members by identifying needs, providing referrals, and ensuring timely follow-up to promote access to care. Responsibilities Provide navigation and linkage services to individuals seeking substance use and behavioral health support Answer incoming calls promptly and provide professional, supportive assistance Identify service needs, problem solve options, and connect individuals to appropriate resources Provide follow-up to ensure successful connection to services Offer guidance, advocacy, and coordination to support individuals in accessing care Maintain ongoing communication with callers and stakeholders to address needs and questions Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and organizations Support outreach efforts and attend community events as needed Document all interactions and activities in accordance with program requirements Maintain compliance with HIPAA, confidentiality, and professional standards Collaborate with team members and program leadership to support service delivery Perform additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal systems Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and active auto insurance Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, or related field Experience working in substance use services, call center environments, or behavioral health settings Experience providing resource navigation and case coordination Lived experience with substance use or behavioral health services
