We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and motivated Adaptive Skills Specialist to support neurodiverse adults in our community-based adaptive skills and independence program in Pasadena. Our program focuses on helping adults with autism and related developmental differences build confidence, social communication, life skills, ADL's, and greater independence through meaningful real-world experiences in the community. Participants engage in consistent, hands-on learning experiences in natural, community-based settings such as parks, local businesses, grocery stores, and public transportation systems. The program emphasizes the generalization of skills across environments, allowing participants to practice communication, problem-solving, budgeting, navigation, self-care, and social interaction in real-life contexts.

Responsibilities:
Support small groups of neurodiverse individuals in community settings Facilitate adaptive living skills, social communication, and independence goals Assist participants with community outings, public transportation, cooking, fitness, recreation, and creative activities Help foster emotional regulation, confidence, and connection in a supportive environment Collaborate with our team to create engaging and meaningful experiencesQualifications:
Bachelor's degree required in Science, Education, Psychology, Child Development, Human Development, Special Education, or related field Minimum of 1 year experience working with autistic adults required Experience supporting neurodiverse individuals in community-based settings preferred Warm, patient, flexible, and team-oriented personality Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable transportation requiredPosition Details:
Hourly pay, based on experience Position will begin part-time Opportunity for growth into a full-time role as the program expandsAbout Us:
