Join Easter Seals Superior California as a Job Coach and play a vital role in empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to thrive in community-based jobs. As part of our Easter Seals Enterprises team, you'll provide on-site coaching, foster independence, and advocate for inclusive workplaces. This is a hands-on, field-based role ideal for someone who values relationship-building, problem-solving, and making a direct impact.What You'll Be Doing:
- Provide on-the-job coaching and support tailored to individual needs.
- Help individuals build independence through natural supports and skill development.
- Collaborate with planning teams to identify coaching needs and employment goals.
- Conduct site visits to ensure satisfaction and address concerns.
- Advocate for accommodations, assistive technology, and adaptive equipment.
- Maintain accurate documentation and time logs for each coaching session.
- Ensure employment sites meet safety standards (Cal
OSHA/OSHA
).- Deliver exceptional customer service to individuals served and employers.
Day Expectations:
By 30Days:
- Complete onboarding and required trainings (e.g., Person-Centered Thinking, Goal Development).
- Shadow coaching sessions and build rapport with individuals served.
Days:
- Independently provide coaching at employment sites.
- Collaborate with teams to support job retention and satisfaction.
Days:
- Meet benchmarks for coaching hours, documentation, and site visits.
- Support individuals in achieving greater independence and workplace success.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED recommended; or 1+ year experience supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible hours (including evenings/weekends).
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Must meet agency requirements for background checks, certifications (CPR/First Aid), and TB testing.
