We're looking for Job Coaches to support The Arc of San Diego's food service employment program at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot (Military site, MCRD) location.

Role:

As a Job Coach at the MCRD food service program, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they work in a food service environment. Your primary responsibility will be to supervise and train clients, ensuring they successfully complete their tasks while meeting the required standards of quality and productivity. You will also help clients develop their vocational skills and integrate into the workplace, fostering positive relationships with staff and stakeholders at the site. Additionally, you will be responsible for documenting client progress, providing transportation to and from the worksite, and collaborating with a dedicated team to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.

A typical day will include:

Supervise and provide job coaching support to individuals with disabilities as they work at the MCRD site. Provide training and guidance to help clients develop job skills and meet work tasks as required by the Military and Sodexo. Assist clients in following their Individual Service Plans (ISP) to promote independence. Build positive relationships with clients, coworkers, and site staff. Monitor and document client progress using the Therap system. Ensure client safety and support them in daily activities. What you'll need to be successful: High school diploma or GED. One (1) year of experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred. Valid California Driver's License, auto insurance, and a clean driving record. We'd love it if you: Are bilingual in English and Spanish. Have basic computer skills and familiarity with mobile devices. Have experience with case management systems (Therap preferred). Succeed:

Completion of at least 30 college or university units in education, social services, behavioral sciences, health sciences, or related fields, AND six (6) months experience providing direct support to developmentally disabled persons. Eighteen (18) months experience providing direct services to developmentally disabled person under the supervision of a qualified intellectual disability professional Valid CA Driver's License with a clean driving record. Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist residents with mobility needs. Strong skills in scheduling, documentation, and team leadership .

Have experience with electronic case management systems (Therap preferred). Are fluent in multiple languages (English, Spanish, or Tagalog preferred). Key Responsibilities:

Strategize and execute marketing initiatives to attract new business opportunities and develop new landscaping contracts. Oversee multiple landscaping programs to guarantee adherence to service level agreements and quality benchmarks set by clients. Efficiently manage all operational facets of the Landscape Services division to optimize performance and profitability. Provide knowledgeable technical assistance and management to all Arc of San Diego landscaping teams. Independently evaluate projects for labor and cost, develop bids for proposals, and ensure all costs included are correct. Supervise employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, counseling, scheduling, and disciplinary actions. Maintain an open, positive working relationship with all representatives of contracting entities, customers, vendors, and subcontractors.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Minimum of four (4) years of related work experience, including at least two (2) years independently assessing, planning, and implementing landscape construction projects. Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience required. C-27 Contractor License Preferred. Knowledge of best practices in lawn, flower, plant, shrub, and tree care. Experience working with people with disabilities preferred. Valid California Driver's license, current auto insurance, and acceptable DMV driving record required.
